This impressive shell wall hanging featuring an elephant is handmade in Indonesia and is filled with remarkable details from top to bottom. The round wall plaque serves as the base for an elephant carefully constructed from various natural shells.
The white shells are layered to follow the contours of the body, ears, trunk, and legs. Natural cord accentuates the silhouette, while small shells in warmer tones provide subtle contrast. The edge of the round plaque is also fully finished with shells.
And then there are the long shell strands hanging below the plaque. These are exactly what make this wall decoration extra special. The many strands are composed of tiny natural shells and vary playfully in length. Larger shells hang from various strands as decorative ends, giving the piece an airy, almost jewelry-like appearance.
