This impressive shell wall hanging with an elephant is handmade in Indonesia and is full of unique details from top to bottom. The round wall plate forms the base for an elephant carefully constructed from various natural shells.
The white shells are layered, following the contours of the body, ears, trunk, and legs. Natural cord accentuates the silhouette, while small shells in warmer tones provide subtle contrasts. The edge of the round plate is also entirely finished with shells.
And then there are the long shell hangers below the plate. These are what make the wall decoration extra special. The many strands are composed of small natural shells and playfully vary in length. Larger shells hang as decorative ends from various strands, giving the hanger an airy, almost jewelry-like appearance.
There are two different versions. The design of the elephant, and especially the shell strands and larger hanging shells at the bottom, may differ. Thus, each version has its own look, and you can even beautifully combine both variants next to each other.
